(All dates are subject to change)Auditions: Will be collecting audio recordings of sides and then scheduling (Blind) Virtual Callbacks. Actor video will be off, but director will work with you one on one with the sides.

RESOUNDING LLC – Live Immersive Audio Experiences is a new company that will be launching a year-long virtual season beginning in October 2020. All performances will be presented as audio-only, but will create a live, “3-D" immersive aural experience that allows the audience to have the unique opportunity to feel like they are a part of a transporting online theatrical adventure. This exciting new venture puts a modern-day twist on the radio plays of the 1930s, creating a new form of live entertainment for our times. Season One events will include: Dracula, Treasure Island, and The Most Fantastical Tale of The Nutcracker and The Mouse King, with additional programming to be announced at a later date. Seeking actors with commanding and expressive voices. This production will be practicing conscious casting. ALL roles are open to ANY race, gender and sexual identity.

All rehearsals and performances are remote. Performers may be called for up to 6 sessions in total, which would include 4 rehearsals via videoconference and two live performance dates.  

TECH REQUIREMENTS: You must have access to a home studio with acoustic treatment of room tone / reverb as well as the following:

1. Stand-alone Headphones
2a. Large condenser USB microphone, i.e. Blue Yeti or Rode Podcaster, OR:
2b. Large condenser microphone, i.e. EV RE20 or MXL 990, with XLR cable 
3. Mic stand with shock mount
4. Pop filter
5. Dedicated computer (Mac or PC) with:
a.) the most current OS version installed
b.) a gigabit ethernet port (or adapter)
6. High Speed internet (minimum 10 Mbps upload)
7. Ethernet cabling hardwiring your router to your computer

PLEASE CONFIRM THAT YOU ARE ABLE TO FULFILL THE TECHNOLOGICAL REQUIREMENTS BEFORE SUBMITTING FOR THIS PROJECT. 

ALL ACTORS (WITH THE EXCEPTION OF DRACULA) WILL READ MULTIPLE CHARACTERS AND SHOULD BE CONFIDENT IN MAKING CHARACTER DRIVEN VOCAL CHOICES AND WITH THE SPECIFIC ACCENTS LISTED IN THE ROLE DESCRIPTIONS.

SEEKING FOR THE FIRST SHOW OF THE SEASON:

DRACULA (Lead):  Male Identifying/40s-60s. A Transylvanian Count with a mysterious thirst. Actor must have a compelling, commanding voice and deliver a confident Eastern European Accent.

HARKER/CAPTAIN/HILDESHEIM/OLD MAN (Lead): Male Identifying/20s-30s. A young, British solicitor sent to the Castle of Count Dracula on business. Practical and naïve. This track will read a variety of roles including Captain, Hildesheim and an Old Man. Seeking a character actor adept in various dialects and vocal choices.  Actor must feel confident in delivering RP British and Russian accents.

VAN HELSING/HAND (Lead): Male Identifying/50s-60s. A Dutch MD/PHD who holds a    great deal of knowledge of medicine and the occult and finds himself on the hunt for Dracula. Actor should have a commanding, but warm and fatherly voice and feel confident in delivering a Dutch accent for Van Helsig and Russian accent for the Hand.  

LUCY/WOMAN/1st BRIDE/ NEWSBOY (Supporting): Female Identifying/18-25. The closest friend of Mina. She becomes a victim of Dracula. This track will read various characters and should be comfortable adapting vocal quality to different roles. Actor must feel confident in delivering RP/British and Eastern European accents.

MINA/2nd BRIDE (Supporting): Female Identifying/20s-30s. The young, vibrant fiancé of Harker. This track will also read 2nd Bride and should be able to adapt a character voice changeActor must feel confident in delivering RP/British andEastern European accents.

SEWARD/DRIVER/MATE (Supporting): Male Identifying/30s. A young and ambitious pyschiatrist who serves in this script as a narrator of sorts. Actor will double as Driver and Mate. Actor must comfortable in delivering long descriptive passages of text and RP/British, Russian and Eastern European accents.
